I agree with him purely because an LLM is not intelligent, any time you hear about it doing something like hacking on its own it was a marketing stunt
I didn't read this as AI sentients but as AI killing the world through its irresponsible use of resources like water and electricity.
Basically, he's saying "I need to get as rich as possible so that I can have enough money to survive the water wars."
Problem with that kind of thinking is that once society has gone down the pan, money is worthless...

That's such a weak attack. The water and resources are being depleted by the second and irreparably because of capitalism and infinite exponential growth, the real problem is that it is a means to influence and control billions of people, take away their jobs, and decide how wars are waged and how our societies are run, and it's all up to some dumb cunt with an engineering degree who never got laid or read a book that wasn't all equations in their life.
That's not democracy, that's feudalism. That's a private citizen determining the fate of humanity because they were good at making money.
Because, like, as we all know, being greedy makes you the perfect candidate for being in charge of a planetary society, right?
My son in law doesn't believe that. You can tell he is down the rabbit hole on it. Its pretty clear this is all happening to create the lie that these algorithmic word salads have volition.
The lack of volition is not a problem, the volition of those owning the means of information is.

The volition is entirely human. Its a grift. a scam. Where they set up their little games and claim the their scripts did it on their own.
Hey listen I'm with you all the way. I just think the problem goes deeper than AI. They're abusing the power of money to get away with anything- we shout "hey stop that you could get us all killed!" and they're like "Sure but think of the money I'll make!" and go ahead with it because they kick back to the rulers who let them.
It's like the atom bomb. Whoever gets it first will get to dominate everyone else, why do you think they're sprinting?
Yeah, That is a large part of it. The problem is that the type of people willing to do this should not be allowed in a position of power. They and other like them are the reason why mental health has been systemically dismantled in the US. After all when you know there is something wrong with you the last thing you want is a system that can spot you and prevent you from being a horrible person.
Preach. But genuinely I think that the reason they defund all that shit it's because they want people to buy it from them instead, ignoring the fact that those who most need help often lack the means to pay for private alternatives.
Proper funding of nental health would drastically reduce the numbers of school shootings in the USA.
But we won't do that, because why spend money when you can earn money instead?
Capitalism is the bane of a just democratic society where we pool resources to help each other out so that everybody gets a fair chance and a good life.
I worked for a mental health system for seven years. The cause of the decline in the mental health system can be traced directly back to Reagan. They want to pray the demons away but most of all they don't want their victims to realize who is really to blame for their pain.
Yeah I know. We imported those politics to European countries as well. And it ended the same.
And now everyone blames the immigrants while being strangled by right wing governments.
Most people are not intelligent and will do as they're told. They're still an army of dangerous morons capable of committing war crimes.
