That's a crack in the AI-bros alliance.
On one side, AI companies running out of cash for their expansion race and looking for excuses to pause everything but more importantly everyone else with them.
On the other side, the only corp that actually sells something, invested shitload of money in the AI hype and needs making profit on hardware at an insane rates to recoup his investments otherwise he's toast.
they want to pause to give them time to regroup so they can peddle the AI shtick as surveillance tech to governments.
