I read Watership Down because of the Redwall books. It ... was not the same vibe.

No, not at all. I didn't really enjoy Watership Down, it's in my DNF pile but I plan to get back to it.

This is my first time reading Redwall. As a youngin I read Matthias, one of the other books in the series, but I can't say that I remember it! My kids will get Redwall once I'm done.

I really enjoyed the Redwall series as a kid/teen. I wish I could have discovered them a year or two earlier. As it is, I remember losing interest as I got into my late teens.

I'm a little afraid to start re-reading, lol - not sure if the stories would be fun to read again as an adult.

I'm enjoying it. It's definitely suitable for children, though. Not really a challenge.
