Depends on how the ice crystals formed during freezing, if they broke too many cell membranes the recipe won't work as well. Try thawing one and slicing it like in the recipe, if the pulp is supple like a normal lemon, good use them, otherwise if it's floppy like deflated, the ice crystals were too big and broke too many membranes. Even then the recipe may work anyway but it could have less acidity since you lose some of the juice in the saltwater.
Yea, frozen lemons will juice out a lot when thawing.
May be able to let them thaw partially (enough to slice) and work with them at that stage.
It'll be an interesting experiment.
I use frozen lemons all the time - cutting while still frozen is key.
How much they juice out depends on the "freezing speed", if it's fast enough the ice crystals formed are tiny and break less cell membranes, making it juice out less while thawing.

If that doesn't work, juicing them into ice cube trays is another option.
I buy lemons and limes at Costco, and zest several of them (zest freezes really well too), and juice them all.
Then put 1 TBS per cube in ice cube trays and freeze them. Store in a zip lock or bowl, and pull out for recipes or lemonade.
