I realized that two weeks ago, September 10th, marks two years since Satisfactory’s 1.0 release! A lot of folks started brand new saves then. I myself dusted off my very first save then and actually completed Project Assembly for the first time.

I’m curious how your new 1.0 factories have developed, and if you’re still working on them. Have you finished Project Assembly and concluded your Pioneer’s purpose? Have you kept playing after that, in the same world or in a new one?

I’ve been thinking a lot about what my new purpose is as a Pioneer post-Project-Assembly. Space elevator parts just go into the AWESOME Sink and I’ve bought my Golden Nut. Optimizing factories is always satisfying but I’ve been struggling with what to do with my old and venerable save now. Tell me what you’ve been up to!

I've started a few games since then both with and without gimmicks but it was never really the same because I'd design things with an end goal in mind rather than letting it all grow organically, and that really killed it for me.

I feel like I’m in the same boat there for sure. I feel like I have to pull out a factory planner app before I do anything and I analyze and plan til I’m too burnt out to actually play.

This is definitely one of those games that I wish I could erase from my memory so I could reexperience it properly.

I totally get what you mean. I’m glad that Coffee Stain at least held on to the story stuff til the 1.0 release, that was all really fun to experience the first time.
