What even is that camera design?
I swear. I hate how modern design does misshapen/ugly/asymmetric just for the shock value, instead of because how it might actually look good.
Someone needs to fire the business student that told those engineers to make that.
See, this is where I might have a different opinion.
If it IS the engineers, there is likely a functional reason and I’m fine with it.
However if it is something fucking Marketing wants…
If it's an engineering reason that was able to override marketing, I'd buy it just for that reason alone!
I don't mind it, but I wish Motorola would make some smaller phones. 6.8" is so damn huge. I want my shit to fit in my pocket, dude.
6.9” iPhone 16 Pro Max fits just fine in my pocket. Wearing pants with pockets too small for a modern smartphone is a style choice no one is forcing you to make, and for those who do, Apple will happily sell them a stupid looking sock sling thing for like $99.

Either way, it's a preference. I don't want a clunky chunk of thing on me. I want a smaller phone. It's my preference as a consumer, and I want phone makers to make smaller phones.

Sure. Hands is a valid topic. I struggle with any phone. I don’t get how people do it. I had a Motorola phone years ago that had a kickstand, and I found myself manipulating it to grip the phone better. Now I’m a loyal FlyGrip user. Have been for over 10 years. It… helps.
But I’m with you, I want smaller phones. I thought weight was the only factor, and the 16 series weighed less than what I had before, so I talked myself up to the big one. I don’t dislike it, but handling it is more of a challenge.
I didn’t come here to debate platform. I use both. Your choice if you want to support an ad company over a computer company, absolutely. Weird flex, though. But let’s not go there because I can and do debate both sides. We can talk about the coolest Android launchers, lock screen and widget customisation, or the fact that Gboard doesn’t randomly hallucinate weird ass auto corrections like the iOS keyboard. I love typing on Android because it doesn’t change what I type after I type. (I also like Firefox with uBlock Origin, though Safari with Wipr2 is almost as good.)
So yeah, best to keep it to phone sizes. My Galaxy S10 battery doesn’t last long (audio it’s the original 2019 part), but it charges fast! Small phones with small batteries are great if you carry a brick or otherwise plan accordingly — and I do carry a 10,000mAh brick in my laptop bag.
420” Gucci 69 Pro Max phone fits just fine in my hand. Growing hands too small for a modern smartphone is a personal choice no one forced you to make, and for those who do, FlyGrip will happily sell them a stupid looking plastic brass knuckle thing for like $30.
That was a teensy bit weird with how you're a) saying say that I'm trying to "flex"(??), and b) you don't want to debate platforms but then you go on at length about that very thing and end it with "but let's not do that which I just did". Anyway...
I'm using a Pixel out of all things, and I don't really like it, but it's the best phones in my opinion, for their price. Very much opinion based of course. They're stock Android, they get updates fast and for a long time, they sell small phones with great cameras. 🤷♂️ It is what it is.
But it's an ick, for sure. As soon as I find a phone that I like as much, I will definitely continue my de-Googling process. But my phone, I have to deal with on a daily/hourly basis, so it needs to be good. You know what I mean. 🙂
Three shallow/flat cameras in a row, and one didn't fit, so they carried it over to a new row.
Pretty mundane/mid. Having the four cameras in a 2x2 grid would be about the same to me, functionally, aesthetically. It's not amazing, and it's not horrible. It's pretty much a standard phone tablet.
My biggest problem is likely going to be the price, not the camera placements.
I can't even look at that for long. It looks like a camera CSV.
