No, it turns out the party that absolutely did not run on privatizing everything and limiting the right to strike but is doing those things anyways was not the "best feasible option". He's a dishonest liar who it turns out was a terrible option but now some people who got tricked into voting for that terrible option feel the need to justify that choice to themselves.

Trudeau was not an "orange lib". He broke multiple strikes and never saw a P3 he didn't like. Trudeau was Liberal to the bone. Carney is a Harper conservative (or perhaps a British conservative would be more apt) who really wanted to be PM and saw that in the current political climate his best chance to do that was via the Liberal party. Mostly by lying through his teeth about what he intended to do until he bribed his way to a majority.
