Its a hell of a burden to live in a society of incredible technologies and know you have to create boundaries for yourself and sacrifice the use of them because the companies that own the tech are all trying to enslave you and the only defense is your ability to not get in the van when they offer you the puppy.

I feel like this analogy applies to so much of what we participate in whether we want to or not—just by going around participating in your society you're contributing to a chain of suffering the englobes the whole world.

Not to blame the individual consumer but it's such a fucked up system to be born into. (We should try to improve things somewhat posting.)

That's the machine, man and we're all just sprockets. That also makes us capable of destroying it if all the sprockets just stopped working. General strike. But we somehow can't figure that out. We don't have to be killing the planet and causing mass sufferingm
