So I file complaint with FCC against Verizon for trying pass an AI bot off as a customer service agent. FCC says they should respond in writing. Because after the phone call issue still not resolved. Then today Verizon emails this nonsense: We apologize for the frustration you experienced when you called. When you need support, the issue should be resolved with the first representative you’re connected with.

For a more straightforward support experience, you can also try our new VZGPT self-service digital assistant. Available 24/7, you can quickly find the answers you need for common billing, connectivity and account questions.

This is fucking bullshit. And VZGPT? They really want their customers to give GPT access to all our personal information? I guess so if you are a Verizon customer don't be shocked when our phone numbers get sold off to ton of scammers and personal information out there for anyone to see.

Mint mobile or any of those services still use the three main services for the actual coverage.

MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) are a great option for not dealing with the big carriers. If an MVNO is getting a lot of complains from their customers they have the aggregated power of many customers to push with. If an MVNO is being treated poorly by a carrier they can actually switch but the impact is much bigger than a single customer switching, so it has much more weight. Also the MVNO is the one with your data, the carrier just has services listed as with that MVNO and doesn't have your personal details directly.

So if you do want to get away from a carrier but still need their network I would recommend looking at various MVNO options and giving one a go. Look for reviews, make sure they aren't just a front for the carrier you don't like, and don't sign up for a long contract, just get something small and see how it goes. That's my recommendation anyway.

I will soon be forced to use Verizon because of the area I'm moving to. I currently have Mint, but the coverage in my soon to be home is abysmal. The only options are Verizon or GFi, which only works in town. Mint already works in town, but I'm not living or working in town 😮‍💨
