Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew over Greece, Italy, France and Canada on Thursday on his way to address the UN, despite an International Criminal Court warrant for his arrest.

The ICC issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in November 2024, on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Gaza since October 2023.

Netanyahu arrived in the US for a short visit to address the UN General Assembly in New York, where Mayor Zohran Mamdani has said he does not have the authority to arrest the Israeli leader.

Yes it absolutely would lmao. No European country is at war with Israel. Every European country recognizes Israel as a sovereign nation.

It would be an assassination and an act of war.

What’s the relevance of one nation killing the leader of another nation that they internationally recognize as a sovereign nation?

Shooting down an aircraft is far beyond standard airspace enforcement. Standard airspace enforcement would be to send fighter jets to escort the violating aircraft out of the airspace without conflict.

Shooting down an aircraft would absolutely be an act of war.

Which you've already said they can't do because the plane could just ignore them. What do you think is the next step when a violating plane ignores the fighters?
