I agree with most of the premise of this piece, but in terms of journalistic quality it is dogshit. The author posits a laundry list of scenarios that all sound plausible but are entirely constructed. He's not giving a cited or even an anonymous example of something a real person is doing. It's like citing a fiction novel in a scientific paper. If you had submitted a opinion piece like this to a high school paper 20 years ago the editor/advisor wouldn't publish it.
