MODERATORS
Cats need to be trained if you don't want them to do something. Keep some spray bottles around and use them right when they do something you don't want. Make sure to have clear rules on behaviour beforehand and that they are enforced by everyone in the household.
I just got my cat today and he is very calm and laid back according to the humane society tech that aided me in adopting him.
training a cat is easier said than done, they're little balls of chaos who will just learn to be slightly sneakier balls of chaos
Usually some positive enforcement works as well
And show them, when you don't like something, but a spray bottle is harsh
My 2 little ones are only allowed on some parts of the balcony (because they could fall down)
If they do stupid things, they just lose their balcony privileges
If they do something stupid inside, they'll get locked out of the room (usually 5mins is enough) and they'll learn it after time
The best way to train cats is to get them to love you as well. They don't want to be separated or you being sad/angry with them.
No need for harsher stuff
