MODERATORS
Evokes a bit of the spirit of Nurse with Wound's ‘Homotopy to Marie’ aka tapes for Stapleton's LSD trips. Namely with the sound collage thing going on in the background.
Do I understand it right that SuperCollider essentially works as a modular synth, just with text instead of graphical modules? Max/MSP and Pure Data, likewise working with low-level synthesis and effects, are typically categorized under modular synths.
You understood correctly. Supercollider is an object-oriented programming language, which is very similar to the modular method.
Does it work with samples in any way nicely? I'm vaguely curious about music-programming stuff, but in the meantime I discovered trackers and I'm way more about samples than synths.
Both, synthesis or sampling. The piece presented is entirely composed of samples.
