Hi all, I've been thinking about this a while and to be honest I'm a bit confused about it.

I'm a cis gay(?) guy and basically I want to know, is it ok to be attracted to trans women but not cis women? I'm worried that this separation might be considered invalidating?

Also I don't know what label to use for my own sexuality in this case, but maybe labels aren't always straightforward or all that important

Thank you :3

if youre not into them because theyre trans and you still see them as their gender identity its fine. you dont need to be afraid of finding us hot, we are. ive found trans women can achieve body shapes that arent feasible for either cis men or cis women, for better or worse, which depending on your preferences might make us attractive where cis women arent. at the end of the day i think attraction doesnt follow strict conventions anyway. attraction is always eveluated on a case by case basis, so dont worry too much about labels.

Yeah I guess I go to a lot of parties where there are a bunch of cute cis guys and trans girls, and I find them all attractive. One thing in common with a lot of my friends is that we're all quite twinky/feminine in a way, so maybe that's part of what I find attractive (and what contributes to liking the body shapes you mentioned.

Attraction being evaluated on a case by case basis is a really good way to think about it!
