Mlem using significant amount of battery (programming.dev)

In the past few months the amount of battery Mlem is using has drastically increased. I’ve only used Mlem for an hour today but it has used almost 25% of my battery.

Thanks for the report, sorry you're experiencing this.

Could you check which version you're on? In Mlem 2.6 (released October 1st) we fixed an issue with cache pruning going off too frequently, which could have caused battery drain (PR). If you're not already on 2.6, updating could help. If you're on 2.6 and still seeing this, let me know your device/iOS version and I'll keep digging. If you were doing anything particular (scrolling images/videos? super long posts?), that would help too :)

Ah I’m not on 2.6, but I am pretty sure I’m on the test flight. Checking my about shows this though. Mlem 2.5.1 (872)

When will insert feature here be implemented?

Is Mlem available for Android?
- No. Mlem is written using SwiftUI, which is not currently supported on Android. If such support becomes available, we will look into bringing Mlem to our Android friends.
