I dusted off my Ouya which has a very old install of postmarketOS from several years ago. I see now with Nura, the initramfs searches for rootfs UUID.

If I change something with the kernel then do pmbootstrap install to compile and create new initramfs. The new initramfs won't boot because the UUIDs have changed.

Also it seems to break the system even if I try to boot the prior working initramfs. So the system partition needs to be flashed with the new system image. Basically a fresh install every time some small thing changes with the kernel.

It was easy before because any postmarketOS boot.img could be booted from. Does that workflow still exist?

With a system that is several years old: Just flash it again.
