Windows 10 was the last actual Microsoft OS.

I disagree. For me it was Win 7. And even in retrospective I’d say the last truly good and clean system was XP. I had to use it at work a month ago to troubleshoot a system and was surprised how well designed XP was for its time – and still is tbh

I think the general consensus is that windows XP was the last clean and well put together microsoft os that's the rounded cleaner version of windows 2000.

When windows 7 came out I downgraded back to XP, which with the new file system it's nearly impossible to pull off. I can't downgrade anything windows 10 and above and I'd have windows xp partitioned if I could.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
