MODERATORS
Palantir mostly does government contracts. If they haven't done a traffic system yet, it means no government has asked them to. So this one is on the LA local government as much as it is on the AI companies.
Yeah, why should a company proactively develop ideas to bring to market and make themselves useful. Just wait for the customers to figure everything out for them...
Spend tens of millions of your own money developing something or get paid hundreds of millions to do it.
There are an infinite amount of things that could be useful, you can't develop all of them in anticipation of demand.
They're not spending their own money, they're spending the venture capitalists money.
