Great Mother (lemmy.nz)

A great mother. Can you imagine carrying around a few dozen babies until they are big enough to take care of themselves? This Rabida Rabidosa has lost a leg and a pedipalp.

They aren't harmful to people and they eat pest insects - great garden buddies, if you find one inside it's lost.. Pick it up in a cup and take it outside to the grass somewhere.

We have similar relatives of theirs in Australia, the most common one we simply call the 'garden spider' or garden wolf spider.
