Not really, the role of Rust is type/memory safety, you can still have unoptimized games. Also Rust is more complicated.
Verse, Scratch and GDScript are video game scripts.
Would be a bit weird expecting all those C++ people to use a language that will be invented 27 years after the language they chose to learn?
