Michael from Signal Jam here. I just moved to Canada, and I'm excited to learn what you do to stay private here, and exploring new ways to double down.

well, I try a little to stay private by:

using graphene os on my phone

never use social media, unless it's federated

but wait, concerning Canada, I'm not so sure what I do specifically that is only applicable to living here. I mean, to send money here, E-transfers are the only real popular option, that is inherently out of your control, but in the hands of the banks.

Job applications? No sort of privacy there. In public? I mean, the cops here aren't nearly as corrupt as the law in the USA, by design, so, I don't worry at all about that.

Then you sit in a place of privilege (as do I). The Indigenous communities certainly wouldn't likely feel the same, I imagine many people of colour as well. Are they as openly dangerous? Not openly no, but they still kill quite a few people, took many Indigenous people into the middle of no where in the winter and dropped them off to die, are generally very violent when it comes to protesters that aren't right wing etc.

Our cops are complete and utter shit. American's are just worse that's all.

Yeah, seeing how every cop looks like an ekeko (starting with a bullet proof vest), I think it's safe to assume they're all lethaly dangerous.

Certainly if you're smart you'll consider them all dangerous. I grew up in a household with a cop as a father, I am quite aware of how even the "good ones" are abhorrent.
