Linux kernel devs drop obligatory confession of AI tool usage

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

That's a sensible stance and I don't disagree in principle, the problem is that I feel there are too few people that fall into that camp and a fair amount of them have had their brains absolutely cooked and believe they do, while they absolutely do not.
Of course I don't have any real data to back those assumptions up, it's not the kind of thing you're going to get solid data on, mostly just observations. I'd like to think the Linux kernel devs are a cut above, but given the state of things my faith is in the gutter.
