They demoed a car that was loaded with a shit load of compressed gas, then they had it do a kick flip over a line of cars and a semi truck. They also drove it up a massive inverted ramp and then had it flip over and land smoothly.
Looked cool as hell, but has absolutely no practical purpose other than allowing Nazi Musk to get headlines saying they have a flying car.
it's not a flying car. it's a car that can fall with style.

Maybe this has been explained, but how was the car able to drive upside-down before the thrusters had been activated? It's not like it was going fast enough for its momentum to hold it there.
I saw something about suction using a vacuum on the bottom. Not sure how the hell that could hold up a heavy car.
If you actually watch the demo they show the generated down force.
Figures that elon fanbois would be all about suction.
Someone did the math and it is possible if they hollowed out the car.
Supercars in general have no practical purpose, and people buy them. Being cool is the entire sales pitch.
More than the Tesla thing anyway, you can still pop down the shop in them.
Yeah if you live in literally any country except Germany, lol. Autobahn goes brrrr.
Eh, even then I think your typical German sedan would be better on the autobahn than a supercar.
