don’t pretend internet anonymity is an unalloyed good. fuck, just look at the bot farms for a less rapey problem of enormous magnitude.

And how is a central (read hackable jackpot) on internet identity better?

Not specifically I'd verification, but what do you propose for internet identity? Because any collection you make for it, is gonna be hacked eventually, and be a gold mine for the first that does.
