today’s game is some more Pokemon Soul Silver. I haven’t played this in a bit because I switched it back to my DS to play on the go. At some point I misplaced it though and had a hard time finding it. Thankfully I found it again after getting paranoid it had gotten left out on the street or something.
Anyways. I found out I’ve been an idiot when it comes to the screenshots. I thought because I couldn’t view them in Gwenview there was something wrong. Because it just suddenly stopped working. I guess though at some point recently Gwenview just removed the ability to see some specific trait specific to the bmp files my DS makes.
Anyways. I was so overcome with joy that I found it and figured out how to fix the screenshots that I went back to filling out the Pokédex. For some reason furret isn’t in it despite for sure so I’ll have to catch one again I think.
I also went Arbok hunting. I think the catching part of Pokemon is my favorite. There’s something so calming about just going down the list and catching Pokemon. Though I do have a fondness for battling friends too. I can get into some destructive strategies and steam roll them.
Anyways. I mainly picked Pokemon today because I was overjoyed at finding my DS again. I think soon I need to settle on a big narrative game though. I’ve been between games too long.
I think I've mentioned this before, but I feel traumatized doing the professor oak challenge in that era... White 2, specifically, some 'mons are just extremely rare. I say this, fully anticipating doing a Silver/Gold run soon to buff my Gen V living dex.
Speaking of, I'm currently going after the 492 Pokemon in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky, which uses a living dex. Same era, I suggest you give it a go sometime-- it's got quite a cult following for a reason.
I’m not sure I could make it through a challenge like that. Hell. I’m struggling to make it through the Johto Pokédex as is.
I’ll have to check out Explorers of The Sky. The only experience with Mystery Dungeon is my friend one time got my to try the switch Remaster of Rescue Team so I’m down to try one of my own
Oh man, I second EoS. It's the best Pokémon game in my opinion. I'm quite surprised they haven't remade it given that they remade Red Rescue Team.
I had the pleasure to first time it blind and, well, I may have cried a little. Lol
The Professor Oak Challenge is the worst (SFW) thing that the Pokemon community ever came up with.
Just grateful there isn't a white Vaporeon challenge then, lol.
