Fun fact: consuming coca leaves (from which cocaine is made) is legal in some Latin American countries. It helps with nausea.

Not really, you gotta chew a lot or drink a lot of tea to feel anything and then it’s more like drinking a few cups of coffee

Haven’t tried poppies yet in large enough quantities to feel anything, but I’d assume yes. Also similar to other mild natural drugs, like Khat or Kava or Nutmeg
It should be legal everywhere. It's only dangerous in refined form. Nobody would snort pure caffeine cause you would literally just die. But in its natural concentration it's not that harmful and can even have beneficial effects in moderation. Coca leaves are the same way honestly.
Coca cola is still flavored with (decocainized) coca leaves.
