Remember when we dismissed one of, if not the most, progressive president in our lifetime because he was old and "senile"?

And traded him out for whatever the rapist fuck this is.

The ignorance in America is too vast to describe without sounding like hyperbole.

Said something about Trump's dementia to a good friend last week, "Yeah, but Biden was pretty bad too wasn't he?"

There are exactly two people on my street that understand current events, both old black folks. My young black friend (above) and the white people of all ages are clueless. My Asian wife only knows about Trump through me and her friends and family back home who now hate him over gas prices. (See chart)

There's a monster chunk of our population that votes on vibes and how their personal life is going. Trump's 30% approval? That's not MAGA, that's the politically disconnected.

No, the “vote by their feelings” people left long ago. These are the hardcore mother fuckers left supporting Republicans and MAGA.

These are the low IQ, racists, the facists, authoritarians. Some just simply won’t vote for any other party besides Republicans.

These are the people who would have still supported Hitler in the hours before he put his gun in his mouth.

These people won’t stop even when Trump is gone. They will deny, rebrand and come back again supporting the same shitty agenda.

The suburbanites are sleep walking through most of this administration. You can only jolt them awake by suggesting trans folks deserve equal rights. I think most of them are racists hiding behind their religion.

We shall see I guess.

indonesia's a net exporter, right? indonesia and cambodia seem to be outliers and I'm curious why

Probably gov't subsidies. Here in VN the prices are held artificially low with gov't subsidies.

Yall chose the most hated woman politician, and put her against Trump. Look at Bernie he still out there freash and fighting good fight. Had a other chance and again chose the fucking neo liberal who spent 4 years accomplishing nothing. Or he did just got overturn. What really pisses me off is the asshole knew, KNEW, he had incurable cancer and still ran again. When it was clear he could not beat Trump instead of having a primary they chose to stick Harris on us that no one wanted. Yet I still voted for her. But millions just didn't vote.

Now only way out of this is the one thing the majority of Americans refuse to do. And we need millions to do this thing we are to have snowball chance in hell of fixing this problem.

Add in the "minor update" for the swing state voting machines, which was provided by Leon Hitler.

[-] Nalivai@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

I wonder why is it this one is "the most hated" in your books, and not all the literally neonazi women politicians that you ended up electing into various positions of power?

[-] kandoh@reddthat.com 6 points 4 days ago

Yeah, anyone not a centrist would list their most hated female politician as Nancy Pelosi, easy.

Harris lost because the Democratic base was demotivated from inflation, gaza, and a media environment that convinced everyone that those help wanted posters in the windows meant unemployment was high.

[-] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago

The biggest problem was the lack of a real primary. Biden, at his worst, may have never been as mentally compromised as Trump at his best, but it was still obvious he wasn't up to serving another term. Not stepping aside to let us choose the next candidate ruined the chance we had of stopping Trump.

progressive president in our lifetime

Glazing the bar in hell isn't gonna make it raise any higher lol.

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Sorry, I don't take your feelings as gospel. I've done my homework. Biden was notably progressive. He passed significant progressive legislation.

[-] psycholocomotor_no2@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Progressive like Palestine? That was probably one of the top 5 most progressive things in the 22nd century. I definitely never saw someone holding the separated parts of their baby before then or the bodies of prisoners being returned so mutilated you couldn't even tell if they had skin.

Joe Biden has stage 4 prostate cancer that spread and is in extreme pain and was doing radiation. I’m not saying by any means Trump was better but Joe Biden absolutely should not have or be president in that condition. He has months to live now.
