A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype.
Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

MODERATORS
When it was new, about half the bundles were amazing and half were okay.
A few years ago it was 20% great 60% middling and 20% garbage.
It’s veering into 5:10:85 territory now but the occasional good ones are welcome. I think I buy more book bundles than games now
The sale to IGN is a big one, and they’ve been peddling crap on there since before the LLM apocalypse. Usually I’d see comments about safely ignoring any bundle with courses by Packt as a rule. But the state of PC gaming as a whole, indie gaming, the third party Steam key economy, the mass transition to subscription software, there’s way more going on that just makes the original Humble Bundles’ magic so much harder to do again
I used to buy the $1 book bundle tier all the time, but they increased that to $5 so meh. I didn't know there was an acquisition. Maybe that explains.
