He did the research. This is no different than Truth Social or Gabb, where off the shelf platforms already do all these things.

If this guy hosts it all himself, and doesn't federate it, then that's literally what already exists out there. He doesn't want to leave the walled garden. He wants his own walled garden, and for you to plant flowers there.

And he wants to market it as his own, original, scratch-made, "nothing even close to this has ever only even been attempted before" creation.

And because almost nobody outside the Fediverse has ever heard about anything in the Fediverse, he'll succeed. To the point where people will laugh about Mastodon being a Haven Social rip-off because they've heard of Haven Social first and Mastodon later.
