The announcement was the latest in a series of financial promises and pledges that the Republican leader has made to voters heading into the November midterm elections, where control of Congress is at stake.

The Republican Party currently has a narrow majority in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. However, Trump's approval rating has been low due to his handling of the high cost of living for Americans during the US-Israeli war on Iran that has raised fuel prices. Trump and the Republican Party have been scrambling ‌to maintain support in farm states with competitive Senate races as costs have risen.

Wow, so we can find money when it suits our purpose. Just not when it helps people we don't like. Got to love Republicans/MAGA/GOP.

And for anyone labeling themselves as Republicans or conservatives who say, "but I don't agree with that, we aren't all like that". Then clean your damn house.

This is for the midterms, I doubt they'll get paid. That's why I posted this, to remind people that he's lying to them again. There will be no checks and most likely, no bailouts.

I get it's all lies for votes. Look at all the other promises not kept.

But it's the ones who are going to see this and think 1) he's going to do it, or even has the ability, and 2) are the same ones who say that welfare aid or any other "socialist" action is too expensive. Bullshit.
