Posting the source of this which is from Peter Jackson’s 2005 King Kong remake because it is genuinely one of the most tense, disturbing, and squirm inducing scenes I’ve ever seen from any movie ever until I saw the surgical Alien abortion in Prometheus.
Ooh. Now I want to see this movie. That scene got pretty stupid about halfway through, but it looks fun.
The movie is absolutely a bunch of dumb fun.
That scene is absolute nightmare material, in a movie that's in no way a horror movie of any kind. This scene, and the one with the giant centipedes is enough to give anyone the bug-creeps for life.
There was a scene like this in the original King Kong, which made the test audiences run out of the theatre in terror, so it was cut. So Jackson replicated it and made it terrifying enough even for today's audiences.
I had nightmares about it for years, the part in the meme in particular.
Hopefully you're not still having them and this didn't trigger anything.

I spontaneously clenched real hard just from reading this and having the image pop up in my head again...

Yeah sounds bad. All my trauma are from real world experiences.
But I just bought the PJ King Kong so I might watch it. I don't remember this scene at all.
The giant worms eating the guy with the machete is what always got me.
