What a very serious and not at all insane political philosophy you have there.
Lol, we're simply making observations. But that's a cute deflection.
You could try going back to what I originally wrote and responding to its actual substance instead of dismissing any criticism you don't have a talking point to counter as bots and evil foreigners, but I doubt you will.
You're literally leaping to conclusions.
If voting didn't matter. They wouldn't dump so much effort and money into it. All of it. The media machine, the trolls online, the ads, all of it.
It clearly fucking matters.

Voting matters and they invest all that energy in it precisely because the biannual pageantry keeps you from revolting. Because you're foolish enough to believe that the people doing all that to keep you voting instead of fighting back will someday lose an election that lets you strip their wealth and power away. It's the promise of an eternal reward in heaven for medieval serfs dressed up in modern clothes.
Here, let's let a sci-fi comedy write explain it, fiction is like political theory for Liberals, right?

"It honestly doesn't occur to them," said Ford. "They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates to the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards?"
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard," said Ford, "the wrong lizard might get in. Got any gin?"
Voting matters period.
It's fucking so stupid of you to sit there and try to act like violence is the only solution. Violence especially now when so disorganized and divided will just result in a speedier decline to fascism. There is no world where Americans march into the streets with their guns and win, it ain't happening. People acting like it would work are either A) not in this fucking country and have no idea of the people they're talking about or B) probably supporting the fascists in the first place.
We're literally seeing this government go after elected officials BECAUSE they know they could derail their goal. Because voting works.
The reason America is like this is a lack of education and misinformation. The only solution to that is education and information. If you think an ignorant and ill informed society full of bravado and nationalism should march into the streets and fight, you're fucking kidding yourself.
What you're imagining is an instant solution and that's not gonna happen either. It will be at a minimum 20 years before we have a voting bloc that is possibly educated enough to circumvent the misinformation and ignorance of the current majority of voters and push towards actual lasting progress.
The French revolution resulted in a direct downward turn for France. The Russian revolution resulted in a direct downward turn for Russia. America will fail its attempted violent revolution, you'll end up kneecapping progress as actual useful, intelligent individuals are jailed or murdered by the state while violent morons ascend to power. It's not the solution, it won't ever be a solution.
Currently people are working on organizing efforts, in the last two decades voters are more involved and more informed. It's the response to a lying administration and an acknowledgement of corruption. The only path is forward straight through unyielding. It's not throwing a fit and blowing up the road ahead of you, losing all direction and throwing millions into an abyss of "what if" that's the shit jaded 17 year olds think.
And while quoting hitchhikers guide is cute, the reality is there are no lizard people. They're just regular people. If you overthrow them, you're replacing them with just as awful people.
