So by your logic, we should have voted for Trump and hoped that he was just lying the whole time?
If you are Maga, then yes. If you are Maga, you hear Trump say he supports gays but you know what he really stands for. Magas then used "Trump said he supports gays" when talking to centrists. But they knew what Trump stood for.
Ignoring the obvious point of my question for a lame attempt at a gotcha. Do they teach this at Lib 101? Do they think it actually works?

Democrats have been lying for decades, and they lose all the time. You know what actually works? Delivering for the voters.
