cool sign to have in a bar, or a singles pad, or my house, but the physics of transporters in Star Trek is still terrifying
The Transporter would have amazing medical application: removing disease/cancer, removing shrapnel/assimilation, buffering critically injured crewmen. Not to mention accidents like duplication.
