On my fire tablet I like to read Manga and use tachiyomi but afaik it doesn't seem to actually download the files of the Manga, only the Manga to read if offline I think?

Or use the komga add on for tachiyomi to download the series and read off-line. I've never had to do that as I've never not had internet on my devices

There's no wifi at work and obliviously my fire tablet can't use 4g etc

just remembered this thread and i looked into komga a bit. So it takes your cbz files etc and lets you read them where theres internet...but how do you download manga without dealing with api limits like tachiyomi plugins have?

That's what FMD does. I give it a list of series to follow and the preferred source for them and it just downloads the lot as fast as it can and checks for updates regularly.

It's kind of like sonarr for manga and comics.
