Well since this isn't reddit you can actually look at who is downvoting. So whats up with all the downvotes @amnesiac7 ?
Ah interesting, seems he immediately downvoted you too!
I just boosted everyone in the thread. No ones rep was harmed in the making of this comment section.
OH I didn't realize that the first tab was "boosts" and erroneously thought YOU were the downvoter, I'm glad I saw this comment.
What does boosting do?
That account has been busy, too. 1 week old and has created 99 threads, mostly political rage bait.
I do like it. Means someone's answerable for their downvote instead of being able to be an anonymous troll.
I agree. Make people think twice about downvoting. It might help keep it from being used as an "I disagree" button.
We have anonymous voting in politics. People tend to think it is a good policy. Why do you think it is different online?
If you keep your account anonymous and don't dox yourself, there's not much to worry about. I'm not scared of a few internet losers trying to dig up info on somebody insignificant and unimportant like me.
It’s being discussed currently and I’m sure it will go away.
It can't easily be removed since it needs to send out that information into the federated network. At best the function to quickly see that can be removed from the GUI.
I suppose the instance originating the content could receive votes and only report anonymous totals to other instances, but any instance that your votes pass through can still see them.
Imagine the problems that it will cause if bots are used to map who downvoted you.
Lmao deleted his account
This place is feeling more and more like Reddit every day lol
Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, so I'll just say it's a 'thing'.
How can you tell
