I just realised that when I comment here through the browser there is an emoji button that works better than the one built into my tablet's keyboard - it has a search function, I don't have to scroll through and find them!
Your tablets’ OS would have a search function for emoji surely?
Actually you are right - I have been looking at it and there is one, it just isn't that obvious. The one through Lemmy is a much nicer interface.
