Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

My account settings are set to Subscribed/New, but when I open the app I see Local/All and then have to change it.

Unfortunately it is not. There's still a problem with the viewmodels but a major rework has been merged last night and a new version should release soon ™

"Major rework" is almost underselling it lol

40 changed files with 1,219 additions and 753 deletions

I wonder how long this rework has been in progress because I can't imagine anyone having that much time in a day.

Looking forward to this dropping on the play store. I've been finding myself tempted to click on that little red robot(?) icon today 😔

For some reason the app won't let me install it

It downloads fine and I even have installing apps from unknown sources ticked

IDK I might just have to wait

Edit: looks like the app updated on Google play to 0.36, heck yeah

If you have it installed via the Play Store you can't update apps via downloading a new version from github. Google signs their apps with a different certificate and Android then blocks the update.

That would explain the issue I was having perfectly

I might try to just switch to the GitHub version once things stabilize a bit with the whole new life Lemmy is getting
