How durable are folding phones? The $2k price tag has kept me away from them.
durability is ok. I had the fold 2 before upgrading to the fold 5 and thought it held up well. it started to develop a crack down the middle of the screen six months before I upgraded. I'm hoping the new folding technique will help mitigate the cracks that can develop, time will tell.
my dad, who has the flip 3 for 1k, has the crease issue going horizontally. I think the new flips have the new folding technique as well.
if youre wary, I'd wait a year and see what people say about their screens and how it's holding up. personally, i can't go back to a non-folding phone, problems and all lol
