I'm looking into IPTV to fulfill my sports watching this fall. Are there any guides or does anyone have any suggestions on where I should start with this?

Real debrid isn't for live content such as IPTV. I've been using a stable one for a while and it's been great. 4k sports channels and tons of FHD and PPV included. Watched all big games no issues. You just need find the right provider
