i lost both my dogs in the last year to age and illness. i had a dream last night that I got a new puppy (or dog, wasnt entirely clear). probably means it's time, right?

Perhaps so if the signs point you towards it.

How do you feel about it?

I miss my dogs. One was my absolute heart dog. She came to me in my hour of need and was just.....the best. We clicked.

But...it's time! I need to hear a dog tapping at the door again (despite there being a dog door they can get in and out of).

That’s so sweet to hear of how heartwarming that is.

Do you have a particular breed or type of dog or will it be a thing where you’ll see which one you have a connection with and see if it clicks?

I like working dogs - dont need a purebreed, but will find myself some sort of kelpie, heeler, collie, whatever. Something I can take to classes for either animal work (sheep/cattle) or nose work. It's excellent training and a good way to build a relationship. But let's be honest - I'll probably go to a shelter and fall in love with a completely random chihuahua and a great dane and take them both home.
