Fediverse, one account per "type" of network or just one account? (lemmy.ml)

Since the Fedidverse is all connected, should I have one account for accessing both Lemmy and Mastodon or have separate accounts for each one (as I do now)?

Why would you not have multiple accounts? Even if it were pretty seamless to integrate everything into one, having multiple names is one of the benefits of free information exchange online.
