Definitely deleted the app and put a Lemmy app in its place to keep that from happening.
Can I ask what app you use? Struggling to find the best one on Android
Connect for Lemmy, turn on List View and the AMOLED theme and it gets pretty close to the RiF experience. Not 1 for 1, but close enough for what I'm doing. I also put it in the spot RiF has been for 10 years 😞.
Omg I'm using this now and it's awesome, thankyou!
I've been using Jerboa and it's working out well. I've tried the connect for Lemmy app, but once I tried making a long comment and the text went behind my keypad and I couldn't scroll, so I couldn't see what I was typing. I'm always on the lookout for more apps and trying them out until I find one I really like. I'm looking forward to seeing Sync for Lemmy up in action.
Same, using jerboa
I've been using Liftoff as it's the closest to how RIF felt to me. I was able to go in the settings and switch the posts to compact and have the font sizes smaller to get it as close to RIF as possible.
Liftoff works well for me. Not too dissimilar from rif
Thanks! Downloaded it but struggling to get sign in to work. Assuming it's just the servers rn
I don't really like the apps, but if you want an app, you can add your main instance to homescreen and its essentially an app, just save your lemmy password in your browser and its no different from an app.
Think I'll do that, the web version is working nicely!
It's definitely heavily geared towards iOS design principles, but if you can get past that wefwef.app has been the most stable and smooth experience I've found, despite being a PWA and not a native app.
I'm really liking liftoff. Tried a bunch but keep coming back to this one.
Connect for lemmy has worked better for me than jerboa, but that could also be me (barely) learning how to navigate.
There's also the migration hugging everything to death to consider, but hug or no, connect for lemmy has worked quite well for me on Android!
I've tried a bunch and I think I've settled on Thunder. It feels the least buggy and looks nice.
