Hi, no update yesterday as I was out of town but now we're back to the usual release cadence. This release brings an image uploader to comments (and other places), swipe to go back navigation, a new icon, and more.

Changelog

  • Added ability to attach images to comments/the post body
  • Added swipe to go back navigation
  • Switching users should now refresh the drawer correctly
  • Improved image caching, things should feel snappier now
  • Added option to force links to open in external browser
  • Added option to enable/disable swipe navigation
  • Fixed an issue with pinch to zoom images, preventing accidental closes when trying to zoom in
  • Added subscriber count when searching communities
  • Community search results are now ordered by subscriber counts
  • Removed a border between comments now that we have dividers, the goal was to break up comments a bit visually but the border isn't needed if we have dividers.
  • Added a new icon (credit to @Kuvwert@lemm.ee for designing it)

I'm looking into a issue with using 'hide read posts' where if the entire first page is read it won't load the second page.

I think that's the problem, yeah. The problem with federated instances is that the numbers of duplicate communities is exploding. I guess one day it will be possible to merge or create multi-subs (like MultiReddits)

If I could add the community I'm browsing as a favorite it would solve that issue. Right now I can't access this sub either through the Favorite or Subscribed tabs. I have to manually search for it each time.

If "add to favorites" was inserted in this dropdown menu that would solve the issue:
