Music taste conversations are super informative. It's not even necessary to get specific.
Do they "hate" large swaths of music blindly? Do they enjoy trying out unfamiliar types of music out of curiosity? It's kind of like seeing how a person treats wait staff at a restaurant.
I love music but on day to day rarely seek it out or intentionally just sit and listen to music. I’ve become super open to listening to anything anytime. Especially if it’s not standard top stuff.
Btw if anyone has some random music suggestions I’ll give it a go.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. for all your musical needs.
I've picked these more or less at random but with not too much genre overlap and I tried to avoid very popular stuff for the sake of bringing something new to the table (If you don't like any of it, see my comment history for my fav Taylor Swift songs lol).
You don't have to listen to all of it, just pick the first one if you're unsure
Dayseeker - Without Me
I liked that, cool kind of blend of harder rock vocals and intermittent full sound with a lighter synthy side and more delicate singing.
Tashannie - Don't Bother Me (Caution)
Deadsy - Flowing Glower
One of my favorite songs by my favorite band
Wow. That was super interesting. Started out not sure what to make of it, nothing crazy happening musically, but the grueling slow pace of the beat is set so perfectly just about where you can still hold rhythm. I found myself every time hanging on the king drawn bars of near silence before a single bar of a few quick words.
And top that with what feels like a poetry reading.
That one’s going in my random all playlist.
The Cat Empire - Two Shoes
Cuco - Planet Express
I tune in to our local college radio station from time to time with mixed results.
*Edit: I'll suggest Ween - 12 golden country greats
I hate people who listen to just rap. Idk man none of these new rap artists are very good.
Hating people for having bad taste is a bit too much I think. Unless they're on a bus with a bluetooth speaker.
Oh and it's a really cheap speaker with the range of a '80s telephone. So it's constantly bottoming out and they've got it turned up too way loud.
Ooh, music bliss.
Like as in people who only listen to one specific genre of music and don't expand their horizons. Have you looked up at of the rap songs in the past year? Tell me if you like any of them.
This is the way
