Mrs B’s PS5 honestly sounds like the disk drive is moments from death. Not real crash hot out of a 2 year old console.
Is it horizontal or vertical?
Apparently vertical mounting can lead to quicker degradation of the unit.
Still you'd expect more from Sony
Horizontal. I did read the life expectancy was less for the ps5 than it was the ps4. Pretty poor for 750 bucks!
For real. Ours is a year old and going well.
Had it vert and swapped it recently.
The controllers are shite though. Have had two replaced due to drift issues.
as an owner of a noisy as fuck PS4 considering upgrading this does not fill me with hope. might just get the digital version
I wouldn’t. Ff16 was 89 from officeworks, but ~130 from the psn store. I did the maths. Assuming you buy x ammount (I think it was 15?) games over the console life cycle the saving of buying the digital edition didn’t make any sense cause your locked into the psn store.
that's interesting, i never considered that. to be honest i don't buy games very much nor at full price but would probably buy 15 over the whole of the life of the console. the digital editions of games costing more than physical has always been absurd to me.
Yeah I mean re run the numbers for yourself, but the digital edition would have to be a LOT cheaper for it to make sense.
