Shamelessly plugging https://feddit.nl/c/eredivisie
Some posts there are in Dutch and on that Lemmy instance there was some discussion about whether or not people can see content if it's set to a language they haven't selected in their settings. Could anyone check to see how much content they see there?
Also, can I share a community in a better than I did? I seem to remember there's a shorthand equivalent to r/whatever
Edit: I can see posts in Dutch on that community (my languages on lemmy.world are set to Undefined, English, and Spanish). Using Liftoff though I don't think that that matters.
You can use !eredivisie@feddit.nl as an alternative way to link the community, I think. On Liftoff your link takes me to the web version, where I'm not logged in since my account is on lemmy.world. But I think that the version with exclamation points will link directly and keep users logged in, etc.
Thanks for the info and for showing me how to link, that's great.
What's Liftoff? Is that a mobile client?
Yep! !liftoff@lemmy.world
I see some posts but no comments and some threads are missing, which I can see when I use the feddit.nl instance directly. I assume the ones I see have their languages set to undefined.
Thanks! Some posts are definitely missing, the ones that are set to Dutch. Good to know. Useful in theory to have a language tag but not ideal it's not clear that many people then won't even see the post or comment.
