They look a bit safer design where I'm from, even these older designs
Seems perfectly safe to me, centrifugal forces are going to keep you in your seat unless you deliberately push yourself out at which case it's just as dangerous as running under a seesaw or into a swing.
I'm a little bit of a hacker myself, and could see 10yo myself trying to jump off it and getting hit lmao
