Is it just me or are a car headlights a lot brighter these days. It can't just b improperly installed aftermarket junk because about half the cars blind me.

Definitely seems like the average new SUV is designed to blind

I'm currently wondering if this is why mine seem so dim recently. I thought the bulbs had gone, but no, apparently not. Driving on out-of-city roads has been hairy recently on account of seemingly not enough light and I thought this was the reason. Do headlight bulbs degrade? I would have thought they just blew....?

The covers do get a bit hazy with age and makes the light more diffuse.

Yep. Can’t drive at night due to blinding headlights.
