Maybe this is not visible in this gif because of poor quality, but I can assure you she is smiling and laughing the whole time. The video goes on for longer and she is surrounded by plenty of people she can ask for help if needed, but chooses to play with the elephant.
I choose to trust you, but nevertheless, that's the first impression I've got.
